State Election – Tuesday, November 3, 2020
On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, the State Election will be held citywide for the offices of Electors of President and Vice President, Senator in Congress, Representative in Congress, Councillor, Senator in General Court, Representative in General Court, Register of Probate, Regional School Committee and two referendum questions.
The Secretary of State mailed vote-by-mail applications to all registered voters. The deadline to file an application for a vote-by-mail ballot for the November 3, 2020 State Election was Wednesday, October 28, 2020.
In-person early voting will take place at the old Wyman School at 679 Main Street at the intersection of Eaton Avenue. Enter through the door on Newbury Street. The following are the dates and times for in-person early voting:
Thursday, October 29 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Friday, October 30 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Vote-by-Mail for the State Election on November 3, 2020
Applications for vote-by-mail ballots were sent to all registered voters by the Secretary of State. You can check to see if you already applied for a vote-by-mail ballot at Track My Ballot If the status is “pending”, this means your application is being processed and your ballot will be mailed to you. The deadline to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot was October 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.
Ballots may be returned by mail, by delivering in person to the Office of the City Clerk at Woburn City Hall, by depositing in the drop box at the rear of City Hall or by dropping off at the early voting location. Ballots cannot be delivered by voters to the polling place. The City Hall drop box is to the right of the handicapped accessible door at the rear of City Hall near the awning. Once the ballots are received from the State, the drop box will be marked with signs. The ballot will drop into a secure box inside City Hall. The ballot drop box is accessible 24 hours per day.

All polling places will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voters are asked to wear a mask. Note that voters in Ward 3 will vote in the new Hurld-Wyman School instead of in the old Farmstand. The polling places are:
