Garden Plots for Public Cultivation

Small plots of land that the City makes available to the public for the seasonal growing of vegetables and flowers. Signups for plots are done in the spring. This year (2005) signups will be done on Saturday May 21. New gardeners should contact MICHAEL BENENATE, the CONSERVATION COMMISSION CHAIRMAN . If you are interested in renting or sharing a plot ($15 for this coming growing season). The plots are 28' by 28'. You do not need to be a Woburn resident to lease a plot, which cost $15.

Organic Garden Plots

WREN obtained permission from the Woburn Conservation Commission for certain community garden plots to be designated as organic (free of the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides). All organic plots will be situated together. If you are interested in organic gardening, please contact June Mackenzie at [email protected]
