“Friends Helping Seniors, Inc.” (Friends) is a private, nonprofit organization created to raise and provide funding for services for the seniors of the City of Woburn. The purpose of “Friends” is to promote, foster, encourage, and sponsor activities such as transportation services, senior center programs, domestic services, and educational opportunities.
“Friends” works cooperatively with the Woburn Council on Aging to provide services to the seniors of Woburn. A mutual goal is to expand upon the current programs offered at the Woburn Senior Center.

Day trips and special events are offered throughout the year.
All are invited to attend the monthly meeting of “Friends”, scheduled for the Thursday following the Council on Aging meeting (generally the first Thursday of the month) at 10 a.m. For further information, call 781-897-5960.
Located at the Woburn Senior Center, the shop offers “inexpensive treasures” and is open every Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 144 School Street. Gift quality donations are always welcome.
