The City of Woburn Water Department will begin it’s annual hydrant flushing program the week of Monday, July 6, 2020. As we progress through each area of the City, we will send out a RAVE Smart911 alert prior to and specific to each neighborhood we will be flushing in.

Please note that during flushing, residents may experience temporary loss of water, low water pressure and/or discolored water. If this occurs let the cold water run until it clears.

Flushing is done to clean out the distribution pipelines by removing deposits, sediments and other materials that may be present in the pipes.
