Gas Main Replacement

National Grid is replacing the gas main on Green Street from the intersection of Main Street to Eastern Avenue. The work will also consist of main replacement on portions of Highland Street, Mount Pleasant Street, McCabe Court and Blondell Terrace. The work will eventually be extended to Fowle Street depending upon their progress. National Grid is obligated to repave the length of the disturbed area from curb to curb, as required from the City of Woburn DPW. Any residents intending to get gas service are urged to request installation from National Grid at this time as this area will be subject to a moratorium of re-opening the road.

Water Meter Program

The City of Woburn will begin converting to an advanced water metering system that will improve leak detection and our ability to serve customers. The new technology represents our commitment to providing the most advanced and environmentally sound technology.

The billing rates will remain the same until all meters have been installed. If you would like to know more about this project, please contact us at 781-897-5945.
