Municipal Election 2021

The mayor, all aldermen at large, all ward aldermen and five school committee member offices are open for election in 2021. If necessary, a preliminary election will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 and polls will be open from 7:00 am. to 8:00 p.m. A preliminary election is held if there are three or more candidates for mayor, five or more candidates for alderman at large, three or more candidates for ward alderman or eleven or more candidates for school committee. The preliminary election will be held for the particular office which reaches those number of candidates. There is no Municipal Preliminary Election for 2021.

The final election will be November 2, 2021. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2021.

In-Person Early Voting – In-Person Early Voting for Woburn voters will take place at Woburn City Hall, 10 Common Street, Woburn, Massachusetts on Saturday, October 23, 2021 and Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sample ballots for the Municipal Elections will be posted when available.
