The mayor, all aldermen at large, all ward aldermen and five school committee member offices are open for election in 2019. A preliminary election, if needed, will be held on a date to be determined by the City Council in early 2019. A preliminary election will be needed if there are three or more candidates for mayor, five or more candidates for alderman at large, three or more candidates for ward alderman or eleven or more candidates for school committee. The preliminary election will be held for the particular office which reaches those number of candidates.
The final election will be November 5, 2019. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
Sample ballots for the Municipal Elections will be posted when available after the candidates have been determined.
