Municipal Election

The mayor, all aldermen at large, all ward aldermen and five school committee member offices are open for election in 2019. A preliminary election will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 and polls will be open from 7:00 am. to 8:00 p.m.. A preliminary election is held if there are three or more candidates for mayor, five or more candidates for alderman at large, three or more candidates for ward alderman or eleven or more candidates for school committee. The preliminary election will be held for the particular office which reaches those number of candidates. In 2019, there will be a preliminary election for the office of Mayor.

The final election will be November 5, 2019. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
